The first step of building a new home is to find a reputable builder who can work with you to design a home that meets your needs and budget. Once you have finalized the plans, the builder will provide you with an estimate and help you determine financing. Finally, the builder will begin construction. The process can take several months, but it will be well worth it when you finally get to move into your new home.
The time of your new home build depends on if it is a fully custom home or a semi-custom home.
Semi-custom homes generally have a pre-construction period of a month and then a construction period of about 6 months.
Custom homes take a little longer. The pre-construction phase typically lasts 2-3 months and the construction phase lasts 8-10 months.
