Typical home builders require you to get a construction loan. Construction loans mean you must make interest-only payments to your financial institution throughout the duration of the build. The first step of building a new home is to find a reputable builder who can work with you to design a home that meets your needs and budget. Once you have finalized the plans, the builder will provide you with an estimate and help you determine financing. Finally, the builder will begin construction. The process can take several months, but it will be well worth it when you finally get to move into your new home.
The time of your new home construction depends on if it is a fully custom home or a semi-custom home.
Semi-custom homes generally have a pre-construction period of a month and then a construction period of about 6 months.
Custom homes take a little longer. The pre-construction phase typically lasts 2-3 months and the construction phase lasts 8-10 months.

When building a new home with Reinbrecht, you will receive our 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. This reliable warranty provides comprehensive coverage for newly built homes and existing ones too, including structural protection and appliances systems guarantees.
1) 10 full years of structural defect coverage for load-bearing components.
2) 2 full years of systems surety coverage against defects in wiring, piping, and ductwork in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
3) 1 full year of surety coverage against defects in workmanship and materials.
The two types of loans available are mortgage loans and construction loan.
Mortgage loans are secured by the property itself and are typically taken out over a long period of time, usually 15-30 years. With a mortgage loan, borrowers pay off the loan in monthly installments that include interest and principal payments.
Construction loans are a short-term, interim loan used to cover the cost of construction. The lender disburses funds from the loan gradually as the construction progresses, allowing developers to make payments on the materials and labor as they go.
